Questions about HA
Hi, im newb that wants to learn about HA before i actually go in into it
i have been hearing about stuff like lameway and iway, ect. i see that people don't consider them the legit way for getting rank up? why so? is it because they are imba? or just the fact that people don't like going against these teams?
Edit: forgot to mention what is "WoW" <-- i know this got nothing to do with warcraft =/ as i have read the thread How to play Heroes' Ascent
Note: i apologize if i made a duplicated thread where as this question have been ask.
And thank you for those who reply to this thread.

People dont like them because theres just so many teams playing them. Noob teams find it easiest to kill other noob teams with the lameway builds. Thats why there are so many of them. WoW means weapon of warding. The Ritualist skill.

People play these so called lameways cause they're simple to play, require very little coordination but they still are stupidly effective.

People will always give you massive crap and take it to an obsessive level if you play anything other than a balanced team in HA. Cause you know, prestigious Guild Wars players have a lot to prove on the internet! Do whatever you feel like having fun with, if that means laming your ass off in ha then great. HA is a lot of fun when you get into it.
Just know that when you're playing lame builds any halfway decent team will utterly demolish you. Kind of happens when everyone on the other team knows each and every skill of everyone on your teams' bar.

This is a very nice guide to get you started, it certainly helped me a lot when I first started to HA a bit more regularly.

Most people above r6 who try balance fail in UW.

Well, true and not true.
There is alot of e-peen. I got huge e-peen, nonetheless, getting beat, regardless of how bad I, or my team, am (is) by some PvE'ers who PvX'ed a heroway (Rt/Me) with some fire eles, and thumper is not fun.
Even tough I have VERY FEW problems with current heroway (Frankly, I think I have yet to loose to a heroway with a serious build -not one of my many testbuilds- such as BBway or, yes, balanced with dent) compared to the old taint/hex hero one.
But once again, it's not satisfying to loose. It's even worse when you know you've lost to a completely unexperienced/bad team. (The same way top GvG guilds do get frustrated by gettting beat by Ritspike, Bloodspike and xx-Spike)
It's downright pissing you off when you've lost to a completely unexperienced/bad team when you know all they did was roll their heads over their keyboard.
It's Build Wars at it's worsts, it's not competitive, it's not fun for the people NOT running it (even tough I admit to run it myself, mainly because Izzy pulls one RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO up after the other one out of his ass, there is NO more balance in HA, and you're FORCED to run absolute trashbuilds in order to be the LEAST competitive) and it's plain and simple NOT Player vs Player. (For the heroways)
Builds such as SF-spike, sway, thumpway, hway, WS dervs, fire eles, etc CAN be played effectivly by someone who plays GW for about 5 minutes (first 5 minutes he EVER played GW), so regardless of rank, e-peen and whatnot else, it's not satisfying to know that this guy managed to break the "skill"-barrier of 3 and a half year (time I've been playing), in 5 minutes of playing, solely because of the retardly easy, and yet effective builds that are out there.
People left GW because of this, Right Was Borat.
